Our team

Striving to make the world a little better, one step at a time — that’s the essence of SonaLight.

SonaLight is a project of Enactus, the world’s largest volunteer student non-profit organization with projects all over the world. Our aim is to help self-help through entrepreneurial and ecological approaches and to sustainably improve the standard of living and the quality of life of people in need of help.

Founded in 2016, our team now consists of 18 international students studying at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Our members bring a diverse range of expertise to the table, spanning from industrial and electrical engineering to mechatronics, optics, and photonics. Currently, our efforts are channeled through four main departments: Marketing, Partnermanagement, Finance and Technical Support. If you are interested in what our workstreams are working on right now make sure to check our workstream information. Together we are dedicated to offering those in off-grid areas affordable, reliable, safe, and sustainable lighting solutions, alongside other environmentally conscious innovations.
